Policies
Equipment rental is a privilege, not a right. If you too frequently return equipment late, broken, or improperly packed, this privilege can be revoked.
The person renting out the equipment will take full responsibility for it and agree to return it in the same condition in which the received it. They should understand that they are liable for any damage to or loss of their rented items during their assigned checkout period.
In order to check out equipment for no extra costs from the ER you must either be a current student in a fee-charging CNMA course.
Alums and outside customers may rent from us for rental fees.
HBU students, faculty, and staff will be liable for up to 10% of the cost of repair or replacement for any checkout up to $7,500. For any checkout valued above $7,500 total, a damage waiver of 1% will be required, assessed only on the value of the equipment that exceeds $7,500.
Please arrive promptly to collect your equipment. Failure to collect equipment within 1 hour of the booking time will result in your booking being automatically cancelled.
If you no longer wish to borrow the items, you can delete the reservation by logging back into your account and selecting "Active Booking" near the top of the page. From the next page you will see your bookings and can click on the booking reference (e.g. Con123456) and then delete your booking. This can only be done before the items are due for collection.
